About

Welcome to my blog Surmounting Obstacles And Reigning (S.O.A.R) daily!

S.O.A.R is a ministry to encourage women in their journey in life. The vision of S.O.A.R was born in 2003 on the campus of Tuskegee University. God introduced me to a group of women that I knew needed to be encouraged in their daily walk with Christ. So many times, as women, we are the hardest and most unforgiving to ourselves. However, the Bible teaches us that in God we are a new creation and all old things have passed away.

The symbol of S.O.A.R is a dove. Genesis 8 tells the story of Noah being directed by God to build an ark. God had destroyed the entire world by floodwaters with the exception of Noah, his family and two of each kind of creature. They had been on the Ark for over 190 days. Noah would send out a dove to see if it could find dry ground. After several attempts, the dove finally returned with an Olive branch signifying that the floodwaters were almost gone.

In our lives we encounter so many floodwaters: the lost of jobs, family, friends, divorce or the everyday struggles that sometimes make us feel as if we are in floodwaters. S.O.A.R motivational reminds us that there is dry ground and God has not forsaken us. Every flood is a setup for us to find new dry ground and a fresh start. The beautiful thing about being in a relationship with God, is that every obstacle in our lives we have already overcome and reign. That is because we are princesses in the kingdom of our heavenly father. There is no task, no valley, no mistake or anything that is too hard for our father in heaven. S.O.A.R daily blog is a constant reminder that we are surmounting obstacles and reigning.

My prayer is that S.O.A.R will bless you as much as it has blessed my life. If you would like to go on this journey with me, please subscribe to my blog http://soardaily.org . God is not through with us yet and no matter where you are currently the best is yet to come.

Thanking God for dry ground,

Felicia Smith
